Eventful couple of days

Well, the past week or so have been eventful to say the least.

Let's start with medically: I'm apparently due for a minimum of twelve weeks of physiotherapy because of my knee. My patella wiggles around when I bend it, so the doc wants to recondition it before it blows out on me. Yay! :(

Also, I managed to gouge a chunk out of my finger using only a turned-off electric motor. Fun, fun!

On the bright side, which is always better to look at: my daughter now has five teeth!!!; and my son is definitely understanding much more of the French I speak to him. He won't respond to me en français, mais il me comprend!!!

Okay, so I'm new here, and haven't got much of a clue what livejournal's all about, other than that it's a relatively anonymous way to vent and explore new things. Basically my life's a bit stressful at times and I need a place to blow off some steam and/or relax without hurting or offending anyone, and my life's also a bit dull at times and I'm looking for a way to spice it up, again without hurting or offending anyone.

Bit about me: happily married father of two beautiful kids (often wonder about that phrase... you know, would I be the father of anything but children? but it doesn't really sound right to just say, "happily married father of two beautiful") Carpenter. Proudly Canadian. Interested in things wonky and wierd. History buff.

Looking for: good chat, friends from around the world, whatever.
